Ill Health and Early Retirement ReviewThis is an independent medical review, which is usually associated with sickness and absence. The company will be contacted to give details of why the employee is absent from work, for how long and reasons given for non-attendance at work.
A consent form will be sent to the employee along with the proposed appointment details.
If necessary, a GP report will be obtained to assist with the review.
A medical review will be conducted by the Occupational Health team. A copy of the detailed clinical notes are then submitted to the centrally located management team, where one of the physicians will thoroughly review the case and compile a concise report, giving any advice and recommendations and ensuring compliance with any health and safety legislation, current employment, discriminatory and disability laws – follow up calls to the doctor for extra clarification are included within the set fee.
